Jolaine Kerley

Artistic Director

Jolaine is a edmonton based soprano and conductor, Jolaine Kerley is active as a soloist, voice instructor, choral conductor, adjudicator, and clinician. She is currently Associate Professor of Music at Concordia University of Edmonton as well as artistic director of Ariose Choir and conductor of the Archbishop Jordan Choirs. Jolaine holds a BMus and an MMus from the University of Alberta, as well as an MMus from the Early Music Institute at Indiana University’s Jacobs school of Music. Jolaine is engaged frequently as a choral and vocal adjudicator and clinician. Jolaine has been heard frequently as soprano soloist with choruses and orchestras throughout North America including the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, the Alberta Baroque Orchestra, Richard Eaton Singers, Luminous Voices, and Pro Coro Canada. Jolaine performs regularly with Early Music Alberta. Recent solo engagements include The Music of Vaughan Williams with the Richard Eaton Singers and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Geistliche Konzerte with Early Music Alberta, Arietta with Early Music Alberta, Alan Bevan’s Nou Goth Sonne Under Wode at Carnegie Hall in New York City, Bach’s Johannes Passion with Calgary’s Professional vocal ensemble Luminous Voices, and an immersive Game of Thrones production with HBO and Giant Spoon Productions in Austin, Texas. Jolaine performs solo recitals throughout the Edmonton area and is frequently heard performing events with HASA, the Health Arts Society of Alberta. Recent solo engagements have included BWV 36 with the Alberta Baroque Orchestra, Faure’s Requiem and Goodall’s Eternal Light with da Camera Singers, and Singing Sirens of the Seicento at the 2024 Early Music Alberta Festival. Upcoming solo engagements include With Peace and Joy with Early Music Alberta. Jolaine can be heard singing with Calgary vocal ensemble Luminous Voices on the recently Juno nominated album Ispiciwin.

Katie Tilbury

Assistant Conductor

Katie Tilbury is an expressive pianist and is passionate about the community music creates. Originally from Lacombe, Alberta, she completed her Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano at the University of Alberta and holds a Music Diploma in Piano Performance from Red Deer College. Katie is a versatile pianist and has studied contemporary, jazz and classical repertoire. Her dedication as a collaborator is evident through her positions at The King’s University and Concordia University where she works with instrumentalists both in studio classes, and as a recital partner. She maintains an active private piano studio and is extremely passionate about music education. Through her work as a freelance soloist and collaborator, Katherine has enjoyed playing wonderful works of choral repertoire with choirs in Edmonton including Kapella Kyrie Slavic Chamber Choir, A Joyful Noise Choirs and the Archbishop Jordan Choirs. Her most recent projects include acting as Music Director for Opera Nuova’s production of Dear Edwina, and participating as a Young Artist in the Ukrainian Art Song Project in Toronto. When she is not at the piano, you can find Katie in her painting studio!

Megan Crane

Collaborative Pianist

Megan Crane has a master’s degree in piano performance from the Université de Montréal and has an active career as a collaborative pianist in Edmonton. She is a studio accompanist at Concordia University and plays for Ariose Treble Choir, Vox Hominis Men’s Choir, Cantilon Chamber Choir and Cantilon Children’s Choir. She is also music director at St. Augustine of Canterbury Anglican Church. Megan keeps a hive of bees and a large fruit and vegetable garden with her husband and two kids in Edmonton.

Peter Hendrickson

Percussion

Peter Hendrickson has studied jazz and popular music at MacEwan University, St. Francis Xavier University, and with former Percussion Institute of Technology (Los Angeles) instructor John Fisher. He has performed, toured, and/or recorded in North America, Europe and Australia with following people and organizations, to name only a few: Steve Marriner (Juno Award winning multi instrumentalist and producer), Paul Reddick (Juno Award winning blues musician), Adam Gregory (multi gold record artist), Martin Kerr (Nettwerk Music Group), Nuela Charles (three time Juno nominee), Michael Rault (Daptone Records), Colleen Brown (Western Canadian Music Award & Lieutenant Governor General Artistic Winner), Emm Gryner (two time Juno nominee), Yes Nice (Western Canadian Music Award Winner), Ben Sures (John Lennon Songwriting Competition and International Songwriting Competition Winner), Corb Lund (New West Records, Stony Plain Records), Ann Vriend (Maple Blues Award winner), Rooster Davis (musical director for Adam Gregory), Darren Frank (singer/songwriter/producer), Audrey Ochoa (Chronograph Records), Colin Cripps of Blue Rodeo, acclaimed jazz singer Ellen Doty, Squid Precision Drumming (East Coast Music Award Winner), The Alberta Caledonia Pipe Band (Monarch Records, top ten world competitive pipe band), The Simon Fraser University Pipe Band (Six Time World Champion pipe band), and The Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band (top ten world competitive pipe band).

Amy Kao-Dube

Violinist

Violinist Amy Kao-Dube is in the early stages of her performance career. She has been heard frequently playing at weddings and company events. Amy is a regular violinist with John Cameron Productions and The Drum Singers.

Frank Ho

Violinist

Violinist Frank Ho enjoys a career as soloist, chamber musician and teacher. A graduate of Yale University, he studied there with Sidney Harth (former concertmaster of the Chicago Symphony, New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics) and Erick Friedman (noted pupil of Jascha Heifetz). Further studies with Yfrah Neaman at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England, led to performances on three continents and recordings for the CBC. He also holds a Master of Musical Arts degree from the University of Alberta, where he specialized in historical and theoretical studies in musicology. As a performer, Frank has performed at venues such as Royal Festival Hall (London), Merkin Hall and Alice Tully Hall (New York), and the Winspear Centre in Edmonton. He remains active in his hometown of Edmonton as the concertmaster of the Concordia Symphony Orchestra and as a frequent collaborator in chamber music, most notably with the late pianist Alexandra Munn. Recent highlights include the complete Beethoven Violin Sonata cycle with pianist Joachim Segger. Current projects include the complete solo and accompanied violin music by J. S. Bach (with pianist/harpsichordist Leanne Regehr) and a CD of music for two violins and viola with Vaughan String Quartet members Vladimir Rufino and Fabiola Amorim. In the summer of 2024, he toured Switzerland, Austria, Leichenstein, and Italy as the solo violinist of the Canadian Landscapes Europe Tour, organized through Concordia University. In addition to his private studio, Frank is currently on faculty at Conservatory of Music at the Winspear Centre, The King’s University and Concordia University of Edmonton. His students have been prizewinners in local, provincial, and national competitions in Canada, and have gone on to further studies at universities and conservatories in Canada, the USA and Europe. Several of his students have performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, and are members of professional orchestras in Canada, notably the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, the Victoria Symphony, and the Thunder Bay Symphony. Frank is also a member of the College of Examiners for the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and was president of the Alberta String Association from 2019 to 2022. He is the recipient of the 2025 Alberta Music Education Foundation’s (AMEF) Recognition Award for outstanding contribution to Music Education.
